I Miss My Tivo

Once again I have learned the habits of Tivo... never watch anything exactly when it is on. Watch it later, even if only 20 minutes, so that you can fast forward through the things you have no need to see, like opening credits and commercials. Gain more of your life by doing what you can and cramming TV watching into as small a time as possible.

But my Tivo has returned to the shop (they say they have to fix it, and we'll have it back in a week and a half... I don't believe them, and if it breaks AGAIN in the same way they'd better admit that after twice they obviously CAN'T fix it). So I am sitting here watching normal TV as I sit on the couch working on email. *sighs*

I miss my Tivo.

Tivo is that good, eh? Maybe at some point we'll get it, since we watch an awful lot of tv . . .

Yes, Tivo is THAT good. It is so much more convenient than a VCR. No blank tapes to juggle or deal with, and remember what they are. It has a schedule, you can set up a season pass. And you can then decide what to watch and when you want to watch it, which I *really* like. I've been catching more Disney channel specials and cartoons (I love Kim Possible) than I'd be able to otherwise. Urgh, I just realized this means I'm going to have to try to catch Degrassi when its actually on, which is in the middle of the kid's getting ready for bedtime, which is just NOT a good thing. *sighs*
