The President & the First Gentleman

Jayne Abrams ("Plain Jayne" as she is known in the political cartoons) was elected president in 2004, at the age of 61. She had been active in New York politics since the late 1970s. Her husband, Brian Abrams, is most known as the CEO of Fibrodyne Development, one of the premiere technology firms in the country, if not the world.

Now, in 2008, Jayne is running for re-election, with her Vice President Eric Edelman, as members of the Democratic Party.

Jayne is a tall woman, with honey-brown hair this is either dyed or has never greyed, and eyes of a similar shade. Her long hair is straight and simple, and she has never affected any complicated fashion. She is more at home in slacks and a polo shirt and comfortable open-toed sandals in the summer than in a tea dress. She is open and honest, and plain spoken. It is obvious she and her husband are close and devoted to each other.

Brian is tall as well, at 6'4". His once dark hair is now more salt than pepper, but that would be expected at the age of 72. He is still a strong personality, and still completely involved in the day to day operation of Fibrodyne Development. He holds many of the patents developed by the corporation.

Jayne and Brian have been happily married since 1960, and have three children.

Their son, Andrew, was born in 1965. He is now on the board of Fibrodyne Development and is expected to fill his father's shoes someday. Although at the time, Brian shows no signs of leaving those shoes behind. Andrew takes after his mother in looks and his father in motivation and drive.

Gemini, born as Jennifer in 1968, changed her name in 1982, shortly after the birth of her younger brother. She made the name change official as of her 18th birthday in 1986. Of all the children, Gemini has the least favorable press, living as a jewelry creation consultant on a commune in New Mexico. She is lovely, personable, but of questionable taste for the daughter of a president. Yet she does not seem to be bothered by either the fame nor the bad press, and simply continues on with her life.

David, the youngest of the Abrams family, is the only one to follow his mother into politics. After graduating from high school in 2000 he moved to Washington DC for a summer internship, then completed his college career at Johns Hopkins in nearby Baltimore. He now resides in the nation's capital working as an intern.
